Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize procurement activities
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop procurement plans
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
- Proficiency in using Fourth Shift, SAP, or other similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for purchasing materials and supplies
- Experience in buying materials for manufacturing or production operations
- Knowledge of materials management principles and practices
- Previous experience with Edwards or similar inventory management software is a plus
As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely availability of materials for our organization.
