Grocery Delivery E-Services USA Inc. is Hiring an Associate Director, Accounting - Logistics Near New York, NY

Associate Director, Accounting – Logistics – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Grocery Delivery E-Services USA Inc. d/b/a HelloFresh) - Supervise and manage the logistics accounting function for all business verticals as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for finance and business leaders. Plan, execute, monitor, and review the month end financial statement close process for logistics accounting. Identify redundancies and weaknesses in current processes and direct the team to create efficiency and effectiveness. Guide finance teams in developing financial forecasts for short term outlook, and quarterly and annual budgeting processes. Solve unique and complex problems for financial reporting, cost reporting, technical accounting, strategic projects, finance data and finance operations teams, ensuring completion of key activities in accordance with timelines. Drive improvements in upstream processes and systems and manage the collaboration with finance and operation teams. Coach the accounting teams through the phases of the external audit and manage the process and deliverables to achieve a high-quality result while still being on time and on budget. Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures and controls in line with industry best practices and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Instruct the team to document and follow accounting policies and procedures. Develop new work steps and processes to increase transparency on finance processes and business performance for FP&A and operations teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or in an accounting related role. Prior experience must include 5 years of experience with: supporting financial reporting and internal control audits; Oracle Financials Cloud or equivalent Global Financial Platforms; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Software; and supervising a team. Prior experience must include 1 year of experience with: IFRS Accounting and Financial Reporting with mid to large size public companies (> $500M revenue); and Alteryx or equivalent data manipulation tools. CPA license required. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
