Job Summary:
Griswold Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to join our team in North San Diego. This is a part-time, hourly non-medical job located in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The Caregiver will work only overnight and/or weekend shifts, providing personalized care and assistance to clients in their homes. This is an individual contributor role, where the Caregiver will work closely with clients and their families to provide the highest level of care.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $18 to $22 per hour, paid weekly. Griswold Home Care also offers a range of benefits for part-time employees, including flexible scheduling, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, following any special dietary requirements
• Help with housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and light cleaning
• Administer medications as directed by the client’s healthcare team
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Communicate regularly with clients and their families, providing updates on care and any changes in their health status
• Document all care provided and any changes in the client’s condition
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of clients
• Attend ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance caregiving skills
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Caregiver or working in a healthcare setting
• Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to help others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and client needs
• Must pass a background check
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
