Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team. The Dietitian will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating dietary and nutritional problems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting healthy eating habits and providing personalized nutrition plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine clients' nutritional needs
- Develop individualized meal plans based on patients' health needs and preferences
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to clients on managing health conditions through diet
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust meal plans as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research in nutritional science
Skills:
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing appropriate nutrition interventions
- Knowledge of tube feeding techniques and protocols
- Ability to provide health coaching to encourage positive lifestyle changes
- Strong understanding of physiology and its relationship to nutrition
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams
Dietitians who cover the patient care areas of the Child Study & Treatment Center (CSTC) or the Habilitative Mental Health (HMH) (serving our patients with an intellectual developmental disability) when solely assigned to these areas (and no other patient care areas), will be an integral part of treatment programming for patients in these patient care areas.
Who should apply?
· Professionals with a bachelor's degree with a major in Dietetics and Nutrition and completion of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics education program
· Registered Dietitian status: 24 months of recent full-time experience as an RDN
