Griffith Centers is Hiring a Day Treatment Charge Near Colorado, CO
Nature of Position: The Charge Person is responsible for assessing and coordinating a response to any crisis situations and is responsible for the coordination of program resources and program logistics.
Salary starting at $19 per hour. Full time position
Qualifications:
2 years of college or high school diploma.
Must be 21 years of age.
Demonstrated skill and experience in crisis intervention.
Ability to effectively communicate with residents, staff, and other internal and external sources.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with expected Mental Health Technician (MHT) duties.
Knowledge of, and ability to follow Griffith Center’s safety/security policies and procedures.
Must pass a background check, drug screening, physical exam, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, a clean Motor Vehicle Report and the ability to travel on behalf of the agency.
Able to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agencies clients and staff.
Job Expectations/Responsibilities:
Remain in contact with all Mental Health Technicians and Education Staff: be available for questions and problem solving.
Responsible for Education staffing needs / assigns classroom placements / adjusts as necessary.
Verify excursions and approve prior to departure, review client dynamics, staffing, etc. Document on transportation log.
On-site supervision of staff and activities; give staff breaks, give feedback and on-site training.
Notify staff of any pertinent information, i.e. animal watches, late meals, etc.
Call in staff when there are absences or coverage holes; rearrange staff schedules and assignments if necessary.
Request overtime hours when coverage holes or client escalation dictates.
Distribute approved money requests; return receipts and cash to the safe, approve emergency money requests, as necessary.
Answer all calls from parents, caseworkers, and other outside personnel as necessary. Notify County Sheriff's Department or appropriate Police Department of runaways; (on-call person will notify parents, caseworkers, probation officers, etc.)
Assess any crisis situations and coordinate a response utilizing all resources as necessary.
Essential Functions:
Ability to walk up and down stairs.
Lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds.
Must be able to assist with physical managements (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention).
