Description
Main Responsibilities
· Lead the Company Health and Safety Program. (H&S)
· Establish H&S Best Practices
· Participate in Global H&S meetings
· Act as Liaison and report to official regulatory bodies on all H&S matters
· Report out on site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to H&S
· Advise and train all employees monthly on various safety-related topics
· Conduct Safety Presentation in New Hire Orientations
· Lead/Coordinate Monthly Safety Committee meetings and ensure all requirements are followed for annual PA State Safety Committee Recertification
· Establish and conduct a monthly Safety Audit and Risk Assessment System.
· Conduct daily Safety Walks to eliminate workplace hazards and enforce preventative measures.
· Conduct an annual review of the Emergency Action Plan
· Work with Management to schedule and conduct Emergency Drills
· Present and report safety items/issues regularly to management.
· Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety
· Develop and enforce OSHA policies (e.g., accident reporting process)
· Direct Accident Investigation Procedures
· Document Incidents and Near Misses, establish root cause and make suggestions for corrective actions.
· Ensure all employees are acting in adherence with Safety policies, rules and regulations
· Collaborate with managers and supervisors to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
· Observe positive safety behaviors and reinforce with employee(s).
· Intervene in unsafe activities or operations and report to Shift Supervisor
· Act as role model for all company rules and regulations
· All other duties as assigned
