JOB TITLE: OPERATOR I - POSITION RB3025
DEPARTMENT: ROAD & BRIDGE – PRECINCT 3
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Valid Texas driver’s license required.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Ability to follow verbal directions.
5. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Work requires moderate to considerable physical exertion to include:
a. lifting 25 to 50 pounds,
b. climbing ladders,
c. standing, walking, kneeling and crouching.
7. Must adhere to wearing appropriate protective equipment and observe safety rules and practices.
8. Basic knowledge of computer skills (Word/Excel) and data entry.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:
1. Commuting to various locations including (work site for road crew) Precinct 3 building, Hugh Camp Park, Kilgore building and other facilities as needed.
2. Outdoor maintenance and housekeeping.
3. Indoor housekeeping duties including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, sanitizing, etc.
4. Ability to perform light to moderate duty maintenance and repairs.
5. Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures applicable to equipment used.
6. Inventory management of supplies.
7. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
