GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the AD&ST- Administration&Student department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Under the limited supervision of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Director, plan and direct the African American Male Scholars Initiative (AAMSI). Oversee the execution of all activities within the initiative; ensuring program participants persist from one term to the next until successful completion of their academic programs.

Direct, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate the delivery of the appropriate services and activities for students serve through the initiative; collaborate with the GTC evaluator to provide and annual program evaluation to be shared with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure AAMSI objectives are met each academic year; ensure services and activities provided to students are documented in the BLUMEN database system and their file folders on a timely basis; maintain confidentiality of students' files; utilize Inspire/Civitas to monitor students' likelihood of persistence and develop appropriate intervention strategies and student success campaigns.

Train, supervise and evaluate a staff of five full-time employees and one work study student; ensure professional development opportunities for staff; Provide reports and/or make presentation to the Director of EOP, Greenville Tech Foundation, and/or donors as requested; Assist the Director of EOP, Director of Research and Grants, and the Greenville Tech Foundation in writing grant proposals to secure additional funding for AAMSI; coordinate with community partners and agencies to provide non-grant funded services to the students.

Manage the annual budget; monitor and track monthly budget expenditures by properly documenting all expenses in an annual budget book; prepare for internal and external audits; Perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prefer Master's degree in Student Services or related field and 3 years related experience, particularly experience leading, motivating, and otherwise assisting individuals who may be low income, first-generation college students, and/or have a learning disability.
