**Position Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care settings, with a proven track record in overseeing nursing departments, improving care standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities of DON - Director of Nursing

1. Oversee daily operations of the nursing department.

2. Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures.

3. Ensure all nursing operations comply with regulations and standards.

4. Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality of care and services.

5. Manage budgets and resources efficiently.

6. Mentor, coach, and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, and constructive feedback.

7. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for residents and staff.

8. Facilitate training and educational programs for staff to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills.

9. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.

10. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

11. Respond swiftly and effectively to any nursing-related issues or crises.

12. Participate in audits and implement corrective action plans as necessary.

13. Collaborate with senior management to improve quality of care and operational efficiency.

**Qualifications:**

1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

2. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) in Skilled Nursing and/or Long Term Care.

3. In-depth knowledge of regulations and best practices in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care.

4. Demonstrable experience in nursing budget management.

5. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.

6. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health teams.

9. Advanced training in healthcare management is a plus.
