This role is foundational within the nursing field and offers a diverse range of experiences. Here’s an overview of the role:

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients recovering from surgery or experiencing a range of medical conditions such as respiratory infections, heart failure, or gastrointestinal disorders. This includes medication administration, wound care, and various medical treatments.
• Assessment and Monitoring: Continuously assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional states, tracking vital signs, symptoms, and progress. Report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, medication management, and aftercare instructions to facilitate recovery and prevent complications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, surgeons, therapists, and specialists, to coordinate patient care and develop personalized care plans.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, documenting patient history, treatments, care plans, and outcomes.
• Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients receive appropriate care and that their rights and preferences are respected.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including patient deterioration or complications.

Skills and Qualities:

• Clinical Skills: Proficiency in performing a variety of medical-surgical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and dressing changes.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions, especially in high-pressure or emergency scenarios.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Organization: Efficiently manage multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion and Empathy: Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and emotional support to patients and families.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,386.00 per week
