Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversees all Concessions, Catering, Banquet and Beverage functions. 
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with all departments at WEC.
  • Supervises all F&B employees with the goal of providing excellent service and products to patrons.
  • Ability to develop staff and help them to learn and grow.
  • Oversees hiring, scheduling, and training of all F&B staff.
  • Understand Michigan Health Codes and Michigan Liquor Laws; assist employees in understanding and carrying out these policies.
  • Understands food safety and facility sanitation processes.
  • Understand financial documents i.e., P&L statements, budgets, etc.
  • Understands Cost of Goods and how to calculate and set prices accordingly.
  • Conduct monthly inventories.
  • Understanding of cash handling processes
  • Oversees payroll/timecard procedures as scheduled.
  • Evaluates costs, revenues and other expenses constantly to maximize profits.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and food shows as directed by the General Manager
  • Responsible for budgeting, capital expenditures and forecasting for concessions.

Qualifications

What You Need for this Position 

  • Minimum of 2 years in food & beverage management preferred
  • Driven by purpose, mission, values, and has sense of urgency
  • Able to work closely with staff through strong communication and verbal skills
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours or more
  • Able to stoop and bend
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time
  • Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
  • Able to comply with safety and health code standards
  • Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
