Summary

The Corporate Accountant prepares monthly journal entries and reconciliations for the parent company, assists the corporate accounting team with month end close related items and other monthly reporting requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Prepares Month End Close
  • Prepares journal entries for the parent company, which include payroll and related entries, fixed assets, prepaids, allocations, debt and intangible amortization, cash sweeps, and other miscellaneous entries
  • Assists with monthly intercompany reconciliation process
  • Inputs detailed subsidiary financial statements
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations for the parent company
  • Reviews detailed expenses for coding and accurate accounting treatment
  • Assists in the preparation of ad hoc reporting
  • Assists in the review and tie-out of the earnings release and other materials
  • Assists in preparation of quarterly and annual governmental reporting
  • Proficient knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 1 years of experience in accounting
  • Ability to analyze and find solutions to difficult or complex issues with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and functions currently, including effective time management to meet deadlines and balance priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public accounting experience
  • Proficient in computer applications with an ability to learn a variety of systems
  • Experience with Epicor and OneStream
