The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the bar section within the supermarket. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The Bar Manager will work closely with other departments to create a welcoming and efficient environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor bar inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate prices.
• Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase bar revenue.
• Ensure the bar complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Prepare and manage the bar’s budget.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with other departments to coordinate promotions and events.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role.
• Experience as a Barista or in the retail or supermarket industry is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Solid understanding of bar operations, including inventory management and sales strategies.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
• Must be able to commute to Cross River, NY.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
