We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Manufacturing Plant Operation as a Human Resources Manager. You will be responsible for leading the HR function for the site and be a member of the plant staff. 
The HR Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities and strategic support of employee relations programs for the location. The HR Manager will lead and manage the full talent development cycle for the site including recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, development, compensation, benefits, employee services and associate engagement for the location. This role will manage a small team locally to execute and support the plant manufacturing operation and the plant functional staff areas. The HR Manager is expected to possess superb interpersonal and communication skills in working with all levels in the organization - ultimately working toward a rewarding and positive working environment. The HR Manager is expected to provide advice, counseling, and guidance to all levels of management and staff on company policies and procedures. The HR Manager is expected to be able to establish project plans and manage initiatives based on defined priorities working with cross functional teams, leveraging collaboration, influence and HR & manufacturing experience to accomplish goals and execute successfully.The HR Manager will work closely with Corporate HR to ensure alignment with organizational HR strategies, processes and practices.What You'll Do:
  • Maintains consistent application of employment policies and employee development by reviewing management actions; advising managers; reviewing disciplinary, appraisal, and counseling actions; examining, approving, and monitoring transfer requests.
  • Provides management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee relations data and trends.
  • Maintains organization positive legal status by reviewing internal actions and external responses; composing, supplying, and maintaining documentation; adhering to government regulations.
  • Maintains management and employee handbooks by researching, writing, editing, and distributing new and revised policies and procedures.
  • Improves work environment and job satisfaction through exit interviews; meeting with staff; identifying perceived trends and issues; developing recommendations; suggesting new training programs.

  • Maintains harmonious work atmosphere by developing employee, labor and management relationships.
  • Documents actions by completing logs, reports, and records; maintaining critical files.
  • Contributes to employee relations and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • Actively participate in union contract issues including grievance process, contract interpretation and application.

What We Need from You:
  • BA/BS plus minimum 8 – 10 years professional experience; Advanced Degree and/or HR certification preferred
  • Experience using HRIS and Dayforce, preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing segment.
  • Foundry experience a plus!
