Job Description:

Here at Greater Vision, we are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Entry Level Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. Recent grads or accounting students in need of internship hours encouraged to apply! This is a full-time, on-site position located in Ocoee, FL.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing payroll. You will work closely with the Controller and other members of the accounting team to ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a full-time position with opportunities for on-the-job training, growth and development within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

• Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and record keeping.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions. • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Payroll:

• Bi-Weekly payroll preparation and processing using ADP Workforce Now
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Work with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Other Duties:

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses as needed.
• Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
• Support the accounting team with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in accounting and payroll.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or in progress working toward degree
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is desired but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
