Welcome Center Associate Salary: $11.00 per hour

Welcome Center Associate Hours: Sunday 10 AM - 2 PM, Monday 8 AM - 11:30 AM, Tuesday 8AM - 11:30 AM (Part Time)

Welcome Center Associate Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention
• Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships and programs
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA
• Manages and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services
• Accurately execute all welcome center procedures
• Performs all sales including membership, program, and merchandise with accuracy into the Membership Operations system
• Complete daily shift close-out report at the conclusion of the shift
• Participates in staff meetings
• May monitor the locker rooms as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

Welcome Center Associate Qualifications:

• Certifications required within thirty (30) days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid
• Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Able to effectively communicate and build relationships with Y staff, members, and vendors
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service skills, high ethical standards, an appropriate professional image, and a team player
• Must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment skills, and a positive attitude
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
