Stay & Play Caregiver Salary : $11.00 per hour

Stay & Play Caregiver Hours : Two shifts available : 08 : 00 am - 12 : 00 pm Monday - Friday or 4 : 00 pm - 7 : 00 pm Monday - Thursday and 08 : 00 am - 12 : 00 pm Saturdays (Part Time)

Stay & Play Caregiver Responsibilities :

• Implements and participates in activities that develop youth within the established guidelines
• Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families
• Supervises the children, program space, and all activities including following all procedures and standards
• Maintains a healthy and safe environment for the participating children in Child Watch and / or Summer Fun Club
• Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents
• Maintains program site and equipment
• Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings, and staff training
• Disseminates concerns to supervisor immediately
• Helps to promote other YMCA activities and programs
• Maintains required safety practices (e.g., bathroom procedures, sign-in / out procedures, etc.)
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Stay & Play Caregiver Qualifications :

• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within thirty (30) days of hire date
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred
• Minimum age of sixteen (16) is required
• Ability to implement and participate in age-appropriate / developmentally appropriate program activities for the children in Child Watch and / or Summer Fun Club
• Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
• Bi-lingual English / Spanish preferred, but not required
