Registrar

Position: Registrar (Full-Time)

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the membership standards of the council.
  • Produce, support, file, and maintain membership records.
  • Complete routine office tasks. Prepare and maintain all letters, forms, logs, charts, reports, agendas, minutes, messages, files, bulk mailings, databases, records, and other things needed by the assigned staff member.
  • Manage all registration personnel and part-time and temporary staff.
  • Record, file, receipt, and report on transactions.
  • Supply information and source materials, according to the council’s plan, to volunteers and other council employees to ensure the accurate and timely distribution and retrieval of needed information.
  • Enforce the council’s confidentiality procedures and policies.
  • Provide quality customer service to volunteers in person, by email, and on the telephone.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Department supervisor.


Education

  • High school education or equivalent. Associates or relevant.

Qualifications

  • Skills in a variety of administrative skills, computers, data entry, copier systems, telephones, etc.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word; grammar and spelling.
  • Records management experience preferred.
  • Read and interpret documents and apply critical thinking to perform the job.
  • Must have integrity, superior organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively, be a team player and have a strong work ethic.
  • Keep a friendly and helpful attitude towards Scouts, Scouters, and the public.
  • Possess a professional appearance and telephone presence.
