Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is hiring Full-time/Part Time CNA’s (Certified Nursing Assistant's) at multiple locations. Foreign language skills not required, but Spanish or Chinese language proficiency is a plus. We require CNA certification and High School Diploma or GED with one year of healthcare setting experience. Ability to deal with people sympathetically and effectively to obtain necessary information. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel. CPR certification required. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred. NextGen, EHR experience a plus.
Specific Responsibilities and duties include:
Prepares and clean exam room for patient for office visits
Take or transfer patients to the exam room for office visits
Takes patient’s vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heartrate, respiration, pulse sox, height, and weight) and record onto EHR
Record answers of patient to standard office visit screening questions and patients’ health concerns for the visit onto EHR
Collect urine or stool specimen sample from patient per provider’s order and record onto EHR
Collect Blood glucose data from patient per provider’s order and record onto EHR
Maintain supplies inventory and replace items as needed per supervisor’s order
Follow Infection Control measures and maintains a safe and orderly clinical environment.
The CNA also Operates paging/telephone system as assigned; Greets, gives direction/information to patients, visitors, guests and sales representatives professionally and cordially; Attends all mandatory staff development/training sessions and staff meetings; Enters and updates patient's demographic accurately and timely; and, Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
