Greater New York Nursing Services is Hiring a Private Duty Nursing Coordinator Near Elmsford, NY

The Private Duty Nursing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of care to our patients by efficiently coordinating caregivers and managing essential paperwork. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and confirm caregivers on patient cases, ensuring adequate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Review and promptly follow up on messages, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and concerns.
  • Report all incidents to the manager for proper documentation and resolution.
  • Receive timecards and patient notes (Shift Progress Logs) from caregivers and meticulously review paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirm receipt of documentation with caregivers and communicate any required corrections for proper billing.
  • Answer phones and emails, providing courteous and helpful assistance to caregivers, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records within KanTime or similar systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent issues and ensure continuity of care outside of regular business hours.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the position or as requested by the Supervisor.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Professional integrity and a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and thoroughness in task execution.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in paperwork and documentation.
  • Outstanding positive communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new software and systems quickly.
  • Experience with HHAeXchange is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not required.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on patient and caregiver satisfaction.
  • Experience with hospital intake and discharge processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with billing procedures is a plus.
