We are currently seeking a Member Advisor that will provide an exceptional member experience to GICU members. The primary responsibilities include assisting members with financial needs and promoting credit union products and services and identifying opportunities to meet members' financial goals. The Member Advisor serves as a trusted financial resource helping members make informed decisions and achieve financial well-being. The Member Advisor is responsible for evaluating applicants and providing credit union members with information on deposit and lending products and services to best fit their needs. They are also responsible for assisting members with teller transactions as needed. The Member Advisor is responsible for following all processes and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations and utilizing ethical consultative sales in interactions with members to achieve personal, branch and credit union goals.
Location: 801 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 5:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 6pm, and Saturday rotation 9:00am to Noon
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and must maintain registration with NMLS as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of, building relationships, and achieving member and credit union goals. In accordance with our core values, striving to find solutions at every point of contact. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
