If you answered yes to all these questions, you could be the Donation Coordinator we are looking for! The Habitat for Humanity ReStores seek your skills to build relationships with our local donors, screen potential donations effectively over the phone, and schedule truck routes that keep our ReStore running smoothly. We are looking for someone with great customer service skills and a knack for analyzing details while probing for more information when needed.

The ReStores are an entirely donation-based retail operation whose proceeds go directly back into your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. These funds allow us to build more homes and help more people in your community.

You MUST be:

• reliable, punctual, and ready to work full-time (40hrs a week/5 days a week)
• friendly and professional with our community of donors & comfortable returning as many as 40-80 calls per day depending on the season
• able to say “no” politely and firmly to donations that won’t benefit our mission with tactful explanations
• ready to learn about all kinds of different furniture, appliances, building materials, and how we determine the value of those items in relation to our work here
• an exceptional communicator willing to learn how to discern the truth of what’s being described to you (even when you can’t see it!) and accurately relay this information on our schedule & to your ReStore team
• able to maintain open communication between yourself, drivers, and management
• thrive on constructive criticism to improve your screening/scheduling
• okay with working out in the store/running a cash register/helping your ReStore team as needed when the phones are slower
• able to make judgment calls, think on your feet, and problem solve while learning something new every day!

Customer service experience is a must, and any experience with Excel/Google Sheets is strongly preferred. We are looking for someone with strong communication & interpersonal skills who can multi-task effectively and enjoys talking to people.

Schedule & Pay:

• This is NOT a remote position
• Full time - 40 hours/week. Must be able to work within the hours of 9:00am-6:00pm
• Saturday availability required.

• $18/hour paid weekly
