The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), located in Cleveland, Ohio, is looking for an experienced and talented individual for a challenging role in the Procurement Department of the Finance and Administration Division. Detailed DescriptionDuties
Procures items and services for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, activates and monitors releases against product and service contracts, follows procurement policies, procedures and regulations to ensure that all procurements are placed according to appropriate guidelines and procedures, expedites orders for materials, supplies, and services, monitors vendor compliance, maintains and documents files as appropriate, serves on process improvement teams, negotiation teams, and evaluation panels. This position will promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules and perform other related duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsMinimum Requirements
Applicants must have an Associate Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math, Engineering or a related field. A Bachelors Degree is preferred. Applicants must have at least 1 to 3 years of work experience in a decision making and/or research analysis position. Purchasing and/or Public Sector contracting experience is a plus. Applicants must also have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be able to demonstrate those skills. Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e.: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), with a strong understanding of statistics. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
