Greater Brainerd Dental is looking to hire a Dental Assistant. This position is for full-time, day-time hours. We are located in Chattanooga, TN.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist and patients with basic dental care, including preparing patients, performing treatments and cleaning and protecting them from harm during the dental procedure.
• Prepare patients for treatments so they can get the correct care, and ensure all treatment instruments are used properly and safely.
• Perform lab work and prepare dental charts with accurate documentation of patient treatment.
• Take dental impressions to make new molds.
• Perform office supplies inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available for the dentist’s practice.
• Check up with patients regularly to ensure all treatment needs are met and to help provide advice on maintaining a well-balanced daily schedule for patients.

Qualifications:

• Must be comfortable with dentistry and able to maintain a high level of professional ethics in all aspects of patient care.

• Must have a valid license as a Dental Assistant in Chattanooga, TN or be willing to obtain one.
• Must have a positive attitude, great communication skills, and be dependable. Must be organized and have good time management skills.
• Must have knowledge of dental instruments (i.e., x-ray room, drill, polishing stick, etc.)and be familiar with dental health & safety guidelines (i.e., HIPAA). Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; graduating from an accredited Dental Assistant program is preferred.' Expanded Function Dental Assistant would be ideal.
