Position Description: The School Support Specialist-Autism Consultant provides educational team members with relevant information, resources, materials and guidance in regard to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) reflecting their learning styles and appropriate strategies to increase independence and inclusion. The consultant also provides training and other forms of technical assistance in instructional strategies, educational planning, and behavior management to district staff. The consultant gives thorough explanations and modeling, as necessary, to assist staff in implementing research-based interventions with fidelity.
