Job Description
Great Western Dining Service Inc. is seeking a District Manager to oversee excellence in residential dining service operations for the client portfolio of College and University accounts in the state of Missouri. The scope of service is a mix of residential dining, retail sites and catering operations. Reporting to the President, day to day responsibilities will include providing overall planning, direction, evaluation and control to assigned food service units to achieve operations and financial goals, participation on a team, HR functions, establishing and maintaining effective customer/client rapport and providing leadership support to a team of Managers and front-line hourly associates. The ideal candidate will reside or be willing to relocate in the Kansas area.
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic leadership, financial experience, strong communication, computer and management skills. Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage the workload accordingly. Works with clients and Great Western Dining President in all matters relating to contract and account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account growth and account retention. Travel will be required.
Serves as the primary representative of Great Western Dining for multiple accounts in a designated geographic area. Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development. Works with each client in all matters relating to contract and account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention.
