Great Neck Public Schools is Hiring a Special Education Teaching Assistant (DW) Near Great Neck, NY
Position: Part-time Special Education Teaching Assistant (multiple positions)
Location: District Wide, grade level K-12
Hours: Expected hours are:
Elementary School: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Middle School: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
High School: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
Effective: 2024-2025 school year
Ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment
Duties: Support teachers and assist special education students. Provide intervention services directly to individual students and in small group settings.
Requirements: Applicant MUST be NYS teacher or teaching assistant certified. Minimum of 60 college credits is preferred. ABA experience and experience working with students with autism is highly preferred.
Rate: New applicants: $24.57/hr (subject to negotiations)
Current employees: In accordance with paraprofessional agreement
