Position: Industrial Construction Tank / Plate Fitter

Job Summary

Responsible for piping systems, fittings, and structures to the oil and gas, chemical, marine, offshore, fuel handling, and mining industries.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to identify all techniques of welding (TIG, MIG, Arc and Flux Core) and know all properties of various types of metals and how heat affects them.
• Must be proficient with torch, plasma cutter, and other tools used to cut plate.
• Experienced with fit-up techniques for a tank or vessel vertical weld, using blank nuts, key plates, and bull pins.
• Experience erecting tank scaffolding
• Performing layout and installation of tank nozzles or manways
• Ability to identify all techniques of welding (TIG, MIG, Arc and Flux Core) and know all properties of various types of metals and how heat affects them.

Tool Requirements

• Torpedo Level
• 12' measuring tape, 25' measuring tape,
• 2", 10", 6" adjustable wrench, 12", 14", 18" pipe wrench, Combination Wrenches, Screwdrivers, Hammers, Levels
• Toolbox with lock, Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, Raincoat

Job Qualifications

• 3-5 years proven experience.
• Experience using modern tools and equipment.
• OSHA 10 / Basic Plus / TWIC
• NCCER Preferred but not required
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical certificate preferred
• High School Diploma / GED
