Position: Industrial Construction Tank / Plate FitterReports to: Foreman / SuperintendentDepartment: OperationsStatus: Regular Full-time; Non-exemptProject Location: Project Duration: Job Summary Responsible for piping systems, fittings, and structures to the oil and gas, chemical, marine, offshore, fuel handling, and mining industries. Job Responsibilities Ability to identify all techniques of welding (TIG, MIG, Arc and Flux Core) and know all properties of various types of metals and how heat affects them. Must be proficient with torch, plasma cutter, and other tools used to cut plate. Experienced with fit-up techniques for a tank or vessel vertical weld, using blank nuts, key plates, and bull pins. Experience erecting tank scaffolding Performing layout and installation of tank nozzles or manways Ability to identify all techniques of welding (TIG, MIG, Arc and Flux Core) and know all properties of various types of metals and how heat affects them. Tool Requirements Torpedo Level 12' measuring tape, 25' measuring tape, 2", 10", 6" adjustable wrench, 12", 14", 18" pipe wrench, Combination Wrenches, Screwdrivers, Hammers, Levels Toolbox with lock, Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, RaincoatJob Qualifications 3-5 years proven experience. Experience using modern tools and equipment.
