Job Summary/Description:

KVVU FOX5 is seeking an Executive Producer to help lead the #1 newsroom in Las Vegas across all platforms. The successful candidate will be an experienced journalist with strong news judgment and leadership skills. This role will mentor and guide producers and work with anchors, reporters, editors, directors and digital staff to ensure KVVU content is meeting viewer and internal standards and expectations.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Strong news producing skills and the ability to use that experience to mentor and guide a team of producers toward stated goals.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience in creating a positive team environment.
- Experience in being part of a forward thinking, contemporary news management team focused on balancing business needs with respect and support of the news staff.
- Excellent news judgment and decision making ability
- Ability to work with the senior news management as needed to implement policies and procedures within the department

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Ideal candidate should have at least 4 years experience as a producer, and significant previous experience as an Executive Producer.
- The successful applicant's background must include, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or or the equivalent. No beginners.
