Gray Data is Hiring a Data Center Technician Near Monroeville, OH

Gray Data is a leading developer and operator of high-performance computing centers in Northeast Ohio.

Duties:

As a Data Center Technician at Gray Data, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal

performance of our servers and network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and performing ongoing maintenance on servers and network equipment.
  • Providing technical support and configuring systems to client specifications.
  • Preventing downtime by implementing proactive measures to avoid overheating and other issues.
  • Running hardware diagnostics and promptly replacing failing parts.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to enhance network efficiency.
  • Upgrading internal system components and documenting processes.
  • Keeping detailed event logs and documenting statistics.
  • Advising on equipment and implementing curtailment protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College level coursework in computer science, information technology, or similar.
  • CompTIA Server , Network , A , and CCNP certification is a positive.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable about data centers and networking equipment.
  • Experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center and networking equipment.
  • Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, communicate, and problem solve.
  • Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies
  • Proficiency in documenting processes.
  • Availability and willingness to work a varied schedule and occasionally cover absentee colleagues.

Benefits:

  • Starting pay of $18 per hour with raises based on performance after 90 days.
  • Part-time weekend shifts available. We'll work with you!

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
