• Job Title: Fermentation Technician
• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
• Duration: 2 to 6 years Contract (Extendable)
• Timing: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Pay: $23/hr on W2 without benefits

This remains an entry level position so we don’t want someone with a lot of previous experience who may be over-qualified or would become bored as they are learning the ropes. A Bachelors degree, or Associates degree is what we are looking for.

Specific Technical Job Responsibilities: Is responsible for the full operation of fermenters (sterilization of fermenter contents, fermenter repair and troubleshooting, inoculation, cell growth/feeding, harvest, de-vitalization of cells, fermenter cleaning), possesses a high level of sterile technique, inoculates shake flasks and samples shake flasks in a sterile manner, performs fermenter sampling and monitoring during routine work hours, operates autoclave in a safe manner, mixes acids/bases in a safe manner, performs off-line sample analysis that involves the use of the following equipment, viscometer, centrifuge, spectrophotometer, and pH meter, performs preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure accurate operation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
