TRANSLOAD OPERATOR

This position is responsible for safely and timely unloading of bulk and liquid products from rail cars to Trucks, Iso-Containers, as well as loading products into Railcars from truck for delivery to customers.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs the safe and timely unloading daily of bulk dry products and liquid products from rail cars to trucks, iso-Containers, as well as loading products into rail cars from trucks for delivery to customers.
• SAFETY: Comply with company and federal safety rules, policies, and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment, responding to, and acting on safety concerns.
• COMMUNICATION: Obtain and receive information and act on oral or written instructions by various communication devices. Monitor and report daily.
• Operates or learns to operate all transloading equipment, performs work safely and productively.
• Performs general maintenance and upkeep on equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining safe and clean work environment by performing housekeeping and cleaning up on waste or spilled product complying with all Company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Keeps accurate and orderly records of all products received and disbursed per company requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
• Able to work on uneven surfaces; frequently climb ladders and get on/off equipment; work at various heights above the ground including on top of locomotives, railcars, and other equipment.
• Able to work in conditions with loud noise and fumes; work on/around heavy/moving machinery; bend, lift, walk, stand, sit for extended time; and use hand tools.
• Follow safety policies and procedures; wear the required personal protective equipment.
• Desired Previous Training / Certification: OSHA, Hazwhoper, hazardous materials training. Familiar with DOT, PHMSA, EPA, FRA regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
