Gravitec Systems is Hiring a Project Manager – Civil/Structural Near Poulsbo, WA

FLSA Status: Exempt/Full Time

Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 DOE

Reports to: Director of Engineering

Project Managers work with a diverse team of engineers, drafters, installation technicians, and fabricators creating lifesaving solutions for people operating at height. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of fall protection projects, from design development to fabrication, installation and project completion. Ensure that solutions comply with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
  • Work directly with the design team to prepare construction documents.
  • Prepare project schedules, logistic plans, material procurement and/or fabrication of custom solutions.
  • Work closely with clients to coordinate and develop the most appropriate solution and/or deliverable.
  • Manage and assist the installation of fall protection systems.
  • Lead the closeout of projects, including punch list items and client walk-throughs.
  • Preparing hazard assessments and surveys.
  • Preparing inspections and recertification of existing fall protections systems.
  • Developing site specific safety plans and operation and maintenance user guides.
  • Organize project workflow and scheduling requirements, coordinating personnel with the Director of Engineering.
  • Understand and adhere to company fall protection standards, safety programs and policies. This includes participating in fall protection and safety training, implementing safety, recognizing unsafe situations and taking corrective actions.
  • This position includes frequent travel.

Hiring Requirements:

  • 3 years Project Management experience in the building or construction industry, with experience managing projects or project teams.
  • Bachelors or Masters of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET Accredited) with either Structural or Construction Management emphasis.
  • EIT required; Civil PE or SE a plus.
  • Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Experience developing budgets, scheduling and Gantt Charts.
  • Strong technical background and analytical abilities, including technical writing.
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes and applicable standards.
  • Experience building with various construction materials including steel, wood and concrete.
  • Working knowledge of current industry software including AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project (or similar project management software – BuilderTrend, Sage Timberline, Procore, etc.).
  • Experience with structural design software a plus; RISA-3D, etc.
  • OSHA 30 and PMP a plus.
  • Previous experience working at height, or with fall protection, a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Hourly Compensation starting at $85,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
  • Medical / Dental / Vision insurance plan. We pay 90% of the monthly premium for the employees.
  • 401(k) program with match program. Employees are able to designate how much they would like to contribute to their 401k account. Our program provides an employer matching contribution of 50% for each elective deferral percentage you contribute up to 6% of your compensation. The employer matching contribution vests over time at 25% per year with full vesting after 4 years of employment. Your elective deferral contributions and any rollover and transfer contributions are 100% vested immediately.
  • Paid Vacation – Employees accrue 80 hours of vacation time.
  • 7 Paid Holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
  • Paid sick time in accordance with Washington State Law.
