    Required Certification - Requires one of the following:
    • a valid Professional Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a Secondary or CTE License Area of Concentration with one of the following endorsements: College/Career Awareness & Digital Literacy, Business & Marketing Basic;
    • a valid Associate Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a Secondary or CTE License Area of Concentration with one of the following endorsements: College/Career Awareness & Digital Literacy, Business & Marketing Basic;
    • a current out-of-state license with a business/marketing related endorsement.

    • Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related field such as business, marketing, accounting, business management and have completed the following courses with a ‘C’ of higher grade in the last five (5) years: 3 credits in business, 3 credits in computer/digital literacy, 1 credit in spreadsheets, 1 credit in word processing and 3 credits in computer science.
    • Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and have six (6) years of documented, related, full-time occupational experience (not teaching experience) within the ten (10) years prior to application. Related fields include such areas as: accounting, business, business management, and marketing. Documentation of employment needs to be included on the resume including duties and responsibilities and dates of employment.
    • Have the following 5 certifications (verification of certification must be uploaded as part of the application): IC3 GS5 – Key Applications, IC3 GS5 – Living Online, IC3 GS5 – Computing Fundamentals, Microsoft Office Specialist, AND Word and Excel Associate Certificate.

    Job Summary
    Under the direction of the school principal, the classroom teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning environment where students develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners and productive citizens. Teachers maintain a safe environment; establish rapport with students, parents and colleagues; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education and do so in accordance with each student’s ability.     Essential Functions
    • Maintain a safe, orderly lab following all required safety procedures.
    • Utilize lab equipment to apply concepts found in USBE’s CTE Core Curriculum.
    • Teach the core content area(s) outlined in the USBE’s Core Curriculum, and adopted by the Board of Education, correlated with other approved learning activities.
    • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the child.
