Medical Technologist - Microbiology - PRN

• Focus on the microbiology section as a PRN. Performs manual and automated routine blood tests.
• Prepares specimens for microscope examination.
• Operates laboratory equipment and performs a variety of tasks.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to supervisor or manager.
• Requires graduation from an accredited MLT/MLS program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within medical laboratory field. 3 months experience preferred.
• Position is for rotating shifts based on staffing needs and availability. Must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month.

Experience

• Up to 3 months preferred, but not required

Education

• Bachelors or better in Medical Technology
