Collects data and collaborates with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated Educates patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care Assists patients with activities of daily living Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups Administers medications, monitors for side effects and efficacy

Experience

• Demonstrate an understanding of the physical, social and psychological needs of adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrate the ability to deliver care to these patients.

Education

• Technical/other training or better in Nursing

• C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac
