Responsibilities

• Completion of Advanced EMT or Paramedic Certification required; plus high school diploma or equivalent.
• The EDT IV/Paramedic participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs.
• Performs patient care within scope of practice as defined by State and National levels as well as CHS approved skills and competencies.
• The Paramedic participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs. 
• Ensures a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients and families and collaborates with the care team in contribution to quality outcomes.
• Assists with patient transfers and repositioning, transporting of patients, supplies, or specimens; and any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse.
