Responsibilities

The Home Care Biller performs billing and authorization duties as needed, processes information of a confidential nature and acts as a liaison person between patient/family, and home care staff.

Commercial Billing Responsibilities:

• Review patient billing information prior to billing each patient invoice.
• Track late payments and re-bill as needed.
• Review patient documentation to assure billing integrity prior to submission of patient claim as needed.
• Receives all insurance incoming checks. Prepares report on deposits for GVH Accounting Department.
• Processes all credit card payments.
• Credits insurance/patient pay payments to patient accounts and reconciles.
• Prepares patient pay statements.
• Prepares and sends billing for collections.
• Other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:High School Diploma/GED Over 1 year to 3 years Billing experience required Over 6 months to 1 year Secretarial experience preferred
