Full Time Medical Assistant to work with our Endocrinology team in a busy multi-specialty medical office. No holidays, no weekends! We are a fun place to work, we value our team and strive for the highest quality of care for our patients.

A high level of computer literacy and problem-solving skills will help you to function well in this position. eClinicalWorks experience is a bonus, but willing to teach. Potential exists to create a hybrid, in-person/work from home position.

Responsibilities to include:

• Working one on one with physician to provide care for patients each day.
• Establish personal rapport with patients in order to fully understand their healthcare requirements.
• Triage calls for urgent appointments and other patient questions/needs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician - medication review, vital signs, reason for visit.
• Gather and assess objective and subjective data from the patient to report to physician prior to visit.
• Document data and assessments in the patient record.
• Explain treatment, procedures, medications, and physician’s instructions to patients.
• Operating medical equipment such as glucometer and professional continuous glucose monitor.
• Send prescription refills and complete DME form as directed by physician.
• Prior Authorizations
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Prepare and administer injections as directed by physician.
• Call patients to follow up on treatment plan, questions.
• Other duties as necessary.

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• LPN Certificate
• Medical Assistant Certification or 1 year experience
• 1 year or more experience with an EMR in a clinical office setting
