Grammer America is Hiring a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager Near Toledo, OH

Grammer is looking for a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This position will travel to our plants within North America. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment and have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our Americas Team!

The Regional Continuous Improvement Manager role is responsible for:

  • Mobilize and engage local plant teams to participate in lean change.
  • Ensure improvement speed & continuous improvement workshop performance.
  • Improve shopfloor processes continuously and sustainably (scheduling & facilitation of Kaizen workshops with the plant teams)
  • Monitor the compliance of applied GPS and Lean standards in the plants and initiates suitable correction measures by apply a coaching approach.
  • Identify best practices from plants within region and share lessons learned globally - initiate standardization.
  • Supporting and performing GPS Assessments and Trainings
  • Lean thinking, especially 5S, Muda-Hunting, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, One-Piece-Flow, and Pull Systems
  • Ability to recognize waste within the value adding chain.
  • Planning a facilitation of Kaizen workshops
  • Project Management Experience

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an operative area (leading function within production, logistics, industrial engineering or maintenance) or minimum 5 years in an area of continuous Improvement
  • Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams
