JOB TITLE: Utility Worker

LOCATION: Ogden, Utah

REPORTS TO: Plant Superintendent

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is an entry-level job for mill/plant sanitation work in the facility and will train to be operator relief in all departments. This will also include Preventive Maintenance work when scheduled.

Job Type: Full-time (non-exempt/hourly)

Pay: $18.53 - $25.00 per hour starting wage

Reports to: Plant Superintendent

Location: Ogden, Utah

Schedule: Assigned rotating shifts

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

· Responsible for assigned floors and weekly master sanitation tasks. Weekly tasks and duties are performed from a Master Sanitation Checklist

· Cleans bins and rail cars monthly. Learn when rail cars need to be turned down

· Performing preventative maintenance duties around the mill/plant. Assisting maintenance personnel as needed.

· Routinely observe and make decisions to ensure the preservation of the physical facility, including all equipment, utilities, pumps, compressors, boilers, roofs, etc.

· Conduct routine maintenance on the department equipment as scheduled, and maintain the area in a clean, sanitary condition.

· Responsible for sanitation in designated areas.

· Actively maintaining a safety culture. Always thinking of personal safety and that of your team members. Serve on safety and food safety committees

· Performing different mill projects and other duties as assigned.

· Milling work hours will require all candidates to have flexible schedules for a rotating shift and projected overtime and perform job functions in Grain Craft’s physical mill environment, in accordance with set work schedule

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to demonstrate detailed orientation, which includes ensuring documentation is complete.

· Ability to complete routine forms, using existing form letter, and/or conduct routine oral communications

· Ability to operate equipment and ensure it stays in optimal performance specs.

· Ability to work climb ladders and work at elevated heights with proper PPE.

· Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions.

· Ability to quickly make decisions that may have immediate impact on the work unit and department.

· Ability to communicate with others effectively, and express or exchange ideas in a respectful manner.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

· Experience: Prefers experience in the farming, flour, or food production environment, but not required.

· Other: This position is contingent upon successfully passing both a background check and drug-screening. *Grain Craft maintains that we are a drug-free company on all levels*

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply basic math concepts.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.
