We offer a comprehensive benefits package.K-5 Classroom TeacherThe classroom teacher is responsible for the education of each student in his or her class and is responsible for working with students, parents, and other teachers and staff towards achieving the mission and goals of Graham Elementary and Middle School. The classroom teacher will:Plan challenging and engaging lessons based on the Ohio and Common Core State StandardsSet high academic achievement expectationsDifferentiate instruction to support all students in the learning processIncorporate literacy across all content areasProvide opportunities for student engagement through “Voice and Choice”Plan, support and collaborate with fellow educators and staffPlan and implement interdisciplinary projects (Expeditions) on grade level teamsWork closely with inclusion specialists to support the needs of students with individual education plansCo-plan and co-teach with inclusion specialistsConduct ongoing assessments of student work and use data to guide instructionBuild culture and character through a small group advisory (Crew)Identify and supports students’ social, emotional, and behavior learning needsCommunicate proactively and professionallySet goals and participate in professional development to advance practiceImplement school-wide norms and positive behavioral interventions and supports in classTeachers in grades K-4 (excluding specials teachers) teach multiple subjects to one class of approximately 25 students. Classes in grades 5-8 are departmentalized by content area. All classroom teachers are required to have a Bachelor’s degree (at minimum) and a valid Ohio teaching license.
