SUMMARY

Observes patient for signs of distress or movement from a remote patient observation station and enables clinical safety tools to ensure safety of high fall-risk and close observation patients. Communicates with monitored patient as needed to accelerate nursing response times to emergencies and intervenes when necessary. Provides indirect patient care under direct supervision of Nursing's Patient Care leadership , and is responsible for providing age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, collecting information, and utilizing technology. Communicates effectively in a pleasant, concise, professional manner with patients, visitors, co-workers and physicians. Advocates for the patient/family rights and communicates issues/concerns to supervisory personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS required or must complete within 30 days of employment.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer.
