SUMMARY
The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for the intake process and activities of the Patient Access Representatives. Essential job duties for this position are supervising, initiating and ensuring revenue cycle activities are performed accurately, effectively and efficiently. Duties include, but are not limited to, directing the daily department or clinic patient access operations, assuring the collection of complete patient demographic information, verification of third party payer information, registration, coordination of benefits, charge posting, compliance with regulatory standards and regulations, point of service payment collections, deposit validation and ensuring daily payment deposits. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and acts as liaison between the revenue cycle and the clinical staff. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that departmental productivity standards are met or exceeded without compromising quality and proactively schedules adequate staff to enable optimum patient flow to clinical areas.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of degree, a minimum of three (3) years experience as a supervisor in healthcare business systems and operations to include, but not limited to, registration, insurance verification, billing, Medicaid, Medicare, third party payers, point of service collections, payment posting and cashiering functions
  • CPAR or CHAM certification preferred. Has knowledge and experience with an ADT/Registration/PA health information system, preferably EPIC
