Responsibilities
1. Assist the HUB staff in creating a culture of learning and success for students and staff.
2. Be available to the students assisting students with guided notes in preparation for the student final or encouraging tutoring.
3. Participate in meetings of the company staff to ensure coordination of policy and practice for the HUB.
4. Assume other responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned by the HUB director. This position will be a key player in the enrollment process assisting other staff with behind the scenes duties.
5. Other assistance might include: reviewing class material, explaining guided notes. Gathering an excitement for student engagement in small group tutoring/teaching.
6. Follow enrollment and other processes set up by HUB director/company staff.
7. Assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills.
8. Other assistance might include: reviewing class material, explaining guided notes. Gathering anexcitement for student engagement in small group tutoring/teaching.
9. Strong positive communications skills both verbally and in writing.
10. Must be able to work independently and part of a team. Ability to commit to teamwork and establish effective working relationships. Ability to be flexible as specific tasks will change with the evolution of the program.
11. Must be able to form strong connections with other people and have an understanding of and a compassion for the lives of low income families.
