Grace Health and Rehab Center, a 128-bed skilled nursing facility, is now accepting applications for an RN to serve as RN Weekend Supervisor (8 Hour Shifts). The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and direct the functions and activities of the nursing staff to deliver exceptional resident care. Weekend – Every Saturday and Sunday; 8 Hour Shifts; Flexible Scheduling

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Weekend RN you will:

• Supervise and accept responsibility for entire operation of the facility during absence of administrative staff
• Adjust staffing to meet needs and to provide adequate coverage of unit
• Provide direct resident care when needed

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully when personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in long-term care required
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience as an RN preferred
• Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing with current RN license in the state of Louisiana
