General Description of Duties and Responsibilities :

The Sixth Grade Teaching Assistant will reflect high professional standards, integrity, and a commitment to excellence within a Christian school environment.

This position is accountable to assist the Sixth grade school teachers as they seek to support Christian parents in helping to equip their student embrace biblical truth, strive for academic excellence, and model Christ-like leadership to influence their homes, churches and communities.

Essential Job Requirements

• Required to work under the direct supervision of the classroom teachers
• Maintain student records as directed by the classroom teacher
• Administer diagnostic tools as directed / requested by the teacher
• Have the primary responsibility of preparing and organizing all instructional materials and equipment as directed by the teacher
• Must not discuss confidential school business or student records
• Initiative to identify ways to support the teachers and students in the classroom
• Maintain records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance and behavior
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal

• Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and a lifestyle of biblical integrity
• Fully supportive of the decisions and loyal to the mission and leadership of the school and the church
• Passion for connecting with students and families in support of student success within a Christian environment

Education

• High school diploma
• Minimum of Associates Degree preferred
