GovGig is Hiring an Armed Security Officer (PSO) Near Las Vegas, NV

Contingent Upon Award 

We are actively seeking a qualified and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. If you have a strong background in security, are licensed to carry a firearm, and possess exceptional decision-making skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Armed Security Patrols:

- Conduct regular armed patrols of the premises to deter and detect security threats.

- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.

  • Access Control:

- Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the facility.

- Verify identification, issue credentials, and enforce access control policies.

  • Emergency Response:

- Take immediate and appropriate action in response to security breaches, criminal activities, or threats.

- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

  • Surveillance:

- Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor and assess security situations.

- Document and report any suspicious activities or individuals.

  • Firearm Handling:

- Safely and responsibly carry and use a firearm in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

- Regularly undergo training to maintain proficiency in firearm use.

  • Incident Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of security-related incidents, patrols, and activities.

- Prepare comprehensive incident reports for management and law enforcement as required.

  • Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with other security personnel to ensure a unified and effective security program.

- Communicate security-related information to relevant stakeholders.

Education/Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in security or law enforcement is preferred.

- Valid and current armed security license.

- Previous experience as an armed security officer or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response.

- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
