GovCIO is currently hiring for an Events Coordinator to assist in the planning and execution of events and sponsorship activations. This professional will report to the Director of Events and is responsible for collaborating with multiple team members and vendors to directly manage relationships and assist in coordination to ensure we provide a seamless end-to-end experience for clients, team members and attendees. This position will be located in DC, MD or VA and will be a remote position.
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years as an events coordinator or in a similar role producing small and medium-sized in-person and virtual events (up to 300 participants).
Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Able to confidently brief and build genuine relationships with senior leaders in technology and government.
Exudes hospitality and inspires collaboration to deliver a seamless event.
Must be detail-oriented and organized.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Analytical perspective to compare results and make recommendations to adjust event and campaign elements.
Resourceful, self-starter.
Creative problem solver in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using social media personally and/or professionally (ex. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and X).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
Familiar with Eventbrite, WordPress, Monday/Trello, and Marketo.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
